I like my Interstate MTP-91. The new ones need the vent tube from Interstate.

Just wanted to say that I typically get autozone batteries since they are everywhere and have a 2 year free replacement warranty which I have had to use a couple of times. If you can though, I would get a battery from Costco. The price is good and they have a 3 year free replacement warranty. No questions asked. They don't even test the battery. You will have to remove and install it yourself so bring your adjustable wrench.

I have a Duracell #49 (maybe a 48, but I think I decided on the 49) from Sam's Club for $90 with a three year warranty. Sam's has been really good about replacement under the warranty, too.

Yup, Costco or Sam's both have 3 year free replacement and do not test the battery. Autoparts store's will charge a little more, have 2 year free replacement and will insist on testing the battery before anything is done. FYI, the bad autozone battery I had was tested as Good by them a month before giving up. Cost me another trip and having to remove/install the battery. Only problem with club stores is there aren't as many of them around compared to autoparts stores.

Stay away from the yellow top for car purposes, it's not designed to be charged by an automotive charging system.

It makes an OK battery for engine off listening for car stereo competition, or for other vehicles that have larger engine off current draws (winches etc).

You are much better off with a Red Top for daily driver use.
