    The fuel pump won't turn on while cranking, either.

      Okay so now I feel dumb after missing all that but no check engine light if I recall but I'll update on what I find when I get off work.. I work 15hrs today and tomorrow so I probably will be too tired to work on it

        Oh and yes I have a '88 so it should work even with prod date 9/87 right?

          I am starting to think this is just a main relay issue...easy check for that too.
