    Man... Talk about old school!

Reminds me of my youth, installing systems just like that, back when these cars were new.

Would you mind sharing a pic or two of your fronts? Curious about the recone too, I have a set of modern ADS (aluminum cones, cast frames, beastly things) I want to do, but can't seem to find rubber surrounds anywhere.

    Thanks, and great pic!
    Luke

Here is my temporary setup. It's not fantastic but it does the job for now. Certainly looks better then the sony HU the car came with.

It's a 3.5mm jack and power switch, wired to a 10 amp, 12v -> 24v step up DC-DC regulator along with a small Class-D amplifier board. These are both jammed behind the faceplate (on top of the climate control unit).

I had a unit that did something similar. What I would prefer is a soft return, so that it fades up to the volume it was at.

Sure would like blowchunks to get their act together... Multicolor display, matte black finish, and just a few little tweaks would make that deck just awesome.

I read the manual online, seems it has the ability to "mix" two sources, called something like "Aux mix". I'd like to see what that feature is, might be really cool...or just another stupid stunt.

I also would like to see them bring back their old "FIX VOLUME" trick, whatever you set it at is the volume it goes to when you power it up, no matter what it was when you shut it off.

None of them have more than 2 pairs of pre-amp outputs, and the ones they do have are only 2v. Pass.
For those looking, the new 2015/16 Blaupunkt offerings have 5 channels of 4V pre-outs with a F, R, mono Sub configuration.

They do lose the rear USB input, however.

as far as the matte surround, mine came glossy/shiny. I prepped & painted it w/ SEM trim paint. Blends WAYYY better.
Good to know I was going to use that SEM trim paint on my chrome window surrounds anyway good to know I can do the radio surround as well.
