Pass side running lights & dash lights dead

Sup guys, my passenger side running lights and dash lights are out. The fuse is popped, think its 22 or something? I took out the whole taillight assembly and the euro smily running light, no change, still pops. THe only thing I can remember doing between it working and it breaking was washing the car. I opened the trunk lid and washed the trunk jamb, which I don't normally do, and spilled some water in the trunk but not much...

Any ideas on things to look at first???

Sounds like you have a short somewhere. If it's the passenger side, it's most likely fuse 23 that keeps blowing, because I believe that controls the passenger running lights, turn indicator, tail light, and license plate lights, along with the interior lights. It might be a short in your dash harness.

Yeah, I was playing with it, Fuse 23 is the fuse. I cut the wire to the huge tree in the middle and the fuse quit popping, so I know its in the huge tree... Which means its in the middle of the harness bundle...

Yeah, I'm dealing with that right now. I'm just saying "fuck it" and replacing the entire harness. That way I'll have NO electrical problems.

Found my registration/insurance papers in the glovebox half f*^k&%g eaten... D@^N M&%^#%F(*#*%G RATS!

Set traps under the car, gonna get rat poison for the glovebox/trunk itself. Parent's barn has been infested with rats this winter, trapped 30+ of them in the barn this week. (no joke!) Barn is ~50ft from the shop where the car sleeps...
          Gonna investigate wiring later...
