        So here is some oddness:

So much to do. The battery is going to get a new power run, I have Monster 0 gauge. I have a second Optima redtop for under the hood, with really cool battery terminals. Haven't even mounted the rear one yet. I am also adding a 1.2 farad cap behind the Optima.

Amps, sub and speakers are all Exile. I used XTec 65's up front, running off of a 600.4 in triamp mode. I will be adding a AudioControl EQX to handle all the crossover functions soon.

Bass is a Exile XP 12, SVC, 4 ohm, running off of a 600.2. The cabinet is 2.4 cubic feet, tuned at 32Hz, using 2) 4" AreoPorts, as seen on the rear deck.

I have been building things for this in my spare time, hoping I was gonna be ready for show quality (not one bit of this is show quality, except the sound) by the PNW Picnic a few weeks ago. Instead, I hustled to get sound for the drive...so this shit is ugly as hell.

I am going to build a complete new dashboard eventually. The speakers will integrate into the new dash, higher than they are now, and angled in towards the center of the car.

The floor of the trunk is going to have some minor surgery and the amps will be in the floor, under a mesh grille with neon lights and shit. More to impress the kiddies who are my customers than me, but whatever.

My GFs stereo is coming along. It is gonna be the best sounding stock speakered car in the entire history of E30s.

How do you like you're set up in terms of bass? Ive been thinking of running something similar but can't decide if I want to include a sub or just run four speakers off an amp.

Luke that is a nice build up other than the tweets on the dash. I am just not a big fan of that but all the other is awesome.

It sounds pretty good, I would do the four channel if I wanted more bass. Im not a big audio buff, though.

More info on the MB tweets plz.

                          system as follows!

                          my setup is the following....

Head unit --- Pioneer Avic N1
Front Speakers --- MB Quart Q series separates
                          Rear Speakers --- None
Rear Sub --- Audiobahn Flame Series 10"
Front Amp --- Exile 600.4 Eash Speaker has own channel
Sub Amp --- Exile 600.2 Bridged

For speakers in the stock locations and being able to tune your system, it does not sound that bad. Missing some mid bass but I love it. The sub hits hard enough but not mind blowing. I would not want anymore if I could. The draw back was not thinking when building the floor, right now as it stands nothing goes in the trunk. I have to redo that floor and resolve that storage issue. Avic N1 is a early Nav unit but works very well. Its plays DVDs and XM radio. I like it!

I like the arrangement. Its like a model for future consideration in my car. Did the tweets come in the frame or is that your craftsmanship?

I can see where there could be a trunk problem. A speaker would not last 10 secs in my trunk. Thanks man.

the tweets sit in the stock tweeter location. You pop out the stock ones through the back and I glued with hot glue the MB Quarts in. The grills are stock with the MB Quart logo attached to the front. They are very harsh when powered up. It was a great thing to be able to tune them down and bring everything up to them.
