Going to do this today on the M3. There is no antenna in the trunk, but there is an (unused) CD changer mounted in the trunk, might that have a 12v source? Or just use the battery?

just use the battery with an inline fuse

mine worked great for 2 weeks. Stopped working for no reason. I will re-check wiring and see what the problem is

installed today works awesome.
wire color is correct just needs to have the two wire pin installed as well. same colors apply. for constant i read the res wire to the antena was being used. sure enough it works with it. i attached red wire to re wire on the antena. just need to go back and clean up some wiring.

Maybe this would be a good place to post my question.. I installed my system a couple months ago, and only got the lock function to work. I cut into the trunk wires to use the trunk lock. I wired everything up correctly, except it won't unlock. Even if i stick the key in the trunk and unlock it it will not unlock all the doors. Anyone know whats up?

I had a similar problem, turned out to be a wire that got cut under my seat.

and tap the lock wire to trigger a relay for a horn?

I got mine to work a while back and works just fine unlocks all 4 doors and trunk. Flashing lights would be great but for the $ its alll good.

I have been using the omega rec 43 for over a year now and no problems

keys went through the washing machine and dryer and the unit is still working.

I have the ddor lock actuator with a:

white=
blue =
brown = ground
green/black (I think) I know it controls the lock
greenk/blue (I think) I know it controls the unlock

Which one is constant 12+

Please for a wiring diagram...it is your friend when doing anything on a BMW.
