I am ashamed to say that I am a premature spender... I bought what I thought was a really great unit (midnight eBay goggles) prior to seeing the great reviews about the more popular choices in this thread, but have come to really regret the $35 expenditure as I am not sure what to do with it due to the instructions that came with it, which I would rate somewhere between kindling and toilet paper. Please, someone, help... This is the unit on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Remote-Centr...ht_3092wt_1107. Wire diagram below...
I have searched and understand what wires do what in the trunk of my car, but I don't understand, based on these instructions, how to simply make my car have keyless lock and unlock without the shock of returning to my car in a parking lot and watching it burn to the ground. Again, please help...Leave a comment:

Does anyone know if this would work for an E34? Maybe the wrong forum but figured someone may know. I just picked up a '92 525i and the door locks all lock and unlock together with the key. Just like the E30.Leave a comment:

ATTN: for anyone who is dumb like me... :)
The system will not work when the trunk lid lock is in a certain position. I had to put the key in and play with it a few times to see where it had to be.Leave a comment:

A better solution in my opinion is to install the unit behind the driver side kick panel inside the car. All those wires you need are in a bundle right there, plus you get the advantage of not having the receiver surrounded by steel like in the trunk. I did mine like this 1 or 2 years ago and it has worked perfectly.Leave a comment:
