I thought 9/93 was still a 93.........is it different for german cars?
I have been around mostly domestic and jap cars and iirc cars manufacture on the month 10 were considered the year newer.

Same tweeters as Lukes car f/r, same crossovers, same power, same subwoofer, rears are 5.25 xp's

That's a really nice job. You guys are a talented a team.

manufacture date can be misleading, a 9/93 could be a '94 if the manufacturer is hyping the model (I have seen a car built in January be for the next year before) best way to tell is the emissions sticker under the hood as it is required to have the correct model year of the car

I think having the stock looking panel intact and factory looking there is a good idea to hide it. Looks like there is enough tint that leavin the panel at home wont hurt their sound quality/theft issues.

Nate, the issue is that the door jam intrudes into the speaker area.

I can't get even big 5" in the stock E30 locations.

If you look at how I did the speakers, they protrude LESS than the E34 speaker, which is actually attached to the panel, not the car.

By building this mounting space, the midbass is HUGE in this car.

BTW, what 6.5" do you have? I have done some in E30s, but nothing huge.

                  Closing SOON!
