Something that would be awesome is a way to date your convertible top. For instance mine is an OEM BMW top but is not the original since it has a zip in window and micro switches for the late model electric top. It would be nice to be able to date how old the top is or roughly when it would have been installed, since there were revisions through the years.

Also it's worth mentioning that the reason I bought bmw was it was the only old (emissions exempt) 4 seater convertible car with a decent reputation. I mean I could have gone pontiac sunbeam but... cmon

I definitely agree and support this! Especially a Parts section or Interior section, as others have mentioned.

That link lead me to a new thread post. But I totally support a vert sub-forum. Good idea rcsoundn1 (who's name I always read as "rap-scoundrel" in my head).

A '92 318iC purchased used in 1994 sparked my BMW passion. So much fun. So cool. I don't regret selling it to fund my first race car purchase, but as soon as I had the $$ and room for a 3rd car, I found a low mileage '92 325iC. Bought it in 2007 and plan to be buried in it.

Convinced my wife (fiancé at the time) to buy a new 325i in 2001 instead of a VW. We just sold that car, because we have an F30 on the way. I'm also looking at an E30 Touring to hopefully buy if the PPI checks out and I can make a deal with the seller. All because I drove by the Saturn dealer in Memphis in 1994 and saw that beautiful brilliant red 318iC on their used car lot......

^ great story, not being sarcastic. As for the IC section, I do believe its a good idea still. Some how my whole life I have fallen into cars that are more "specific" lets say "unique" in some way. I had a more specific mazda pickup truck as well. While neither are "rare" in terms of production numbers, they were less common in regards to their counterparts, much like the verts. Now the holy grail of verts, an M3 is in my dreams, maybe I will get lucky and find one in a GA barn.... Thanks all for the support

It never even occurred to me that there should be an iC section. Great idea!
