Yes. These things. Though I thrash my vert at the Tail of the Dragon and hold my own with the steel-top e30's so I wouldn't say it's only a cruiser. Just the worst e30 choice for a race car. The guys claim that the chassis flex allows more of my tires to be in contact with the road (jokingly). Lol.I agree with this gentleman... as my cabrio is third car,,, but in summer it is always number 1
i do not drive it in rain ,, except it starts to rain when i am driving,,,
the E30 convertible draws a huge attention everywhere you go,, the lines and shape of the car ,, really gets in to the eyes of people ,,,,,,
still today the E30 is a car that will remain so cool that very few cars from this decades comes close,,,,,Leave a comment:

I agree with this gentleman... as my cabrio is third car,,, but in summer it is always number 1
i do not drive it in rain ,, except it starts to rain when i am driving,,, and i have had the car for close to 11 years,,, in this ownership i am sure that more than 90% of the time the top is down,,,,, i love it,, and i have spent more money then i do really want to know
i painted the car ,, in 2006,, rebuilt the M20B25,,,,,,, and then decided to go IL6 BIGBLOCK
and bought a S38B38,, + compete E30 M3 5lug wheel conversion,,,
the car was extremely quick,, and draw a lot of attention when the bonnet was open,,
used ALPHA-N and drove the car for 6 years,,, then some day after some experimental
with airflow tests.. i melted the engine,, and went MEGA bigblock,,,,,, V12 6g
hell of an engine and everything included,,,
but to end this Offtopic story ,, my conclusion is that the oem M20B25 325 E30 convertible is more than enough,, for the chassis,,
it is certainly,, a cruiser... nothing else.. and these 170 ponies are full capable to sprint the car close to topspeed with the top down,,,,,,,,,, i did that MANY times on German Autobahns,,, 225 km or 140mph......... and LOTS of airconditoning
the E30 convertible draws a huge attention everywhere you go,, the lines and shape of the car ,, really gets in to the eyes of people ,,,,,,
still to day the E30 is a car that will remain so cool that very few cars from this decades comes close,,,,,Leave a comment:

I totally agree! ive used 325ic.com for most of the information ive gathered and some from a few post here on r3v but it would be much nicer to have a dedicated section on verts.Leave a comment:

Same here about being into stupid specific cars. I had a 3rd gen Toyota 4x4 pickup long bed, which is about as rare as a 2nd gen 2 door 4runner (not common at all). It was hard selling that car but who needs a single cab 4x4 truck in the city anyway?Leave a comment:

It never even occurred to me that there should be an iC section. Great idea!Leave a comment:

^ great story, not being sarcastic. As for the IC section, I do believe its a good idea still. Some how my whole life I have fallen into cars that are more "specific" lets say "unique" in some way. I had a more specific mazda pickup truck as well. While neither are "rare" in terms of production numbers, they were less common in regards to their counterparts, much like the verts. Now the holy grail of verts, an M3 is in my dreams, maybe I will get lucky and find one in a GA barn.... Thanks all for the supportLast edited by rcsoundn1; 01-23-2015, 04:07 PM.Leave a comment:

A '92 318iC purchased used in 1994 sparked my BMW passion. So much fun. So cool. I don't regret selling it to fund my first race car purchase, but as soon as I had the $$ and room for a 3rd car, I found a low mileage '92 325iC. Bought it in 2007 and plan to be buried in it.
Convinced my wife (fiancé at the time) to buy a new 325i in 2001 instead of a VW. We just sold that car, because we have an F30 on the way. I'm also looking at an E30 Touring to hopefully buy if the PPI checks out and I can make a deal with the seller. All because I drove by the Saturn dealer in Memphis in 1994 and saw that beautiful brilliant red 318iC on their used car lot......Leave a comment:
