I've been researching but haven't seen one yet. Did they ever make it?

Did they ever make a 325is convertible?

Naming-wise, no. Convertibles came with "iS" sport seats standard, and you could get most iS features like a limited slip, steering wheel, maplight, etc. as optional extras. There was no 325iS convertible, though.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!

the "is" package is essentially appearance anyway. the sport seats are probably the biggest difference.

I was pretty positive this thread was the result of a craigslist ad.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!

It's complicated. The iS was the 2 door hardtop version of the car, but many options, like sport seats, basketweaves, LSD, premium sound, and side skirts, are associated with the iS, but were available as options for the iS and the cabrio (though I don't think side skirts were options on the cab?). All cabs actually had sport seats and prem sound as standard. Also, internally, the car is known as a 325iC (for cabrio), which isn't at all related to the e46 325ci (which is just the newer way of saying 325is). So to answer your question, all e30 cabrios (with the m20 in the US), including that car, are known as the 325i.
it's a Kenny Powers quote on wheels
