    Spring and Shock Combos?

So, I'm bouncing the idea around in my head about lowering just a bit and freshening up the suspension now that my brakes are squared away.

I'm feeling like H&R Sports and Bilstein HDs would be alright, but I'm curious about what everyone else has if they're not on stock suspension. I've heard good things about Vogtlands and Ireland Engineering's stuff, and I haven't the faintest of experience with suspension, so any input would be appreciated.

I did Bilstein sports and BavAuto springs on my vert. It rides nice and it's perfect height IMO. Not stock but not super low either. They sell the set on BavAuto for just under $700 if I remember correctly.

pretty sure HD's will be counterintuitive to a lowering spring. I did Eibach Pro's and Bilstein sports.

^ I did the standard H&R but the rear rides really harsh so next time I may go with something like yours, which looks really good

Also depends on your budget ;)

On my previous vert, I had H&R Sports (vert specific) and Bilstien Sports. The ride height was was good, but I didn't feel like it was balanced. Front seemed a bit stiff and the rear a bit soft.

On my current vert I splurged and went with a full Ground Control kit. Running 440 front and 750 rear spring rates. To me it rides better, but sits lower.

I just got H&R sport cab springs and bilstein sport shocks. My car is super low right now with B&M springs I think. anyways it sucks driving it because you have to watch out for everything and I think the shocks are bottomed out and is harsh.

              installing the stuff this month.

I'm in the group w H&R Cabrio springs and BS Sports. It's a bit firmer than I would like but the handling is great. Im honestly contemplating getting Koni Sports but sedan spec since the cabri Konis are not externally adjustable and the valving is not that different.

I also didn't realize how low the car was til I installed flaps all around. The fronts grind everywhere but flat paved roads so I may add another spring pad next time I'm in there.

This. I was pretty much set on the H&R Cabrio set, but then I got a crazy good deal on a ground control set up on Black Friday two years ago. I love the setup. I am not tracking the car so I didn't go super stiff, but it feels very balanced to me and is perfect for daily driving / occasionally carving a few back roads. Plus the ability to adjust the height to get it exactly where I want it is really nice.

I have h&r sport oe grays, and bilstein hds. A friend has the same Springs but bilstein sports. His rides about half an inch lower, but I love my height. Here's mine.

Edit: forgot I have 195/60/14 tires and m3 offset cabs.

I will be installing H&R cabrio springs and Bilstein Sports over the winter. I ran the same set up in my E36 325is years ago and was very pleased.

I'm on H&R sports and Koni dampers. Ride quality 7.5/10, handling 9/10. Honestly the only lowered car i have owned and not felt like i completely ruined its practicality.

Just swapped out my BS Sports for Konis and should have done it years ago.

I also pulled the e90 drop hats to gain a few mm clearance. Can't see a diffence

Finally finished up the winter suspension project with new rims & tires. H&R cabrio springs and Bilstein Sports with Konig Rewind rims and BFGoodrich G-Force Sport Comp-2 size 195/55-15" Also installed poly front control arm bushings, poly rear swing arm bushings. New poly rear carrier bushings with a poly differential busing. New E30 M3 front and rear sway bars with the front attachment point moved to the strut. Car drives fantastic. See the pictures
