    Hard Top Stand Assembly

I finally have a place to use the stand but damn if I recall how it all fits together. If anyone can upload a pic of it I would appreciate it and if you have specs and quantity of nuts and bolts that would be awesome

Mine is genuine as is the fabric cover which has seen better days. and if I didn't have this rack id def look at some of the after market stands that seem to be about $150.

I started playing with the puzzle today to figure out what fasteners I need and I think it's solvable. The frame forms an X and there are 3 supports. 2 are U shaped and one is a C.

Has to be fewer variables than a rubics cube :)

      Love that color combo btw

Try this attachment. Bought off eBay for $116 incl. cover.
Cover is a little short but the cart itself is quite sturdy. Maybe not as good as genuine BMW but then it only cost me a fraction.

I actually sorted this out. It needs some tweaking but it works. I like the aftermarket one better

i found this uk company maybe 10 years ago ... they were just starting to produce these e30 hardtop covers that hang on a wall ... in the beginning, they were still fiddling with the strength of the sewn-in hanging web straps ... looks like they've resolved that issue by incorporating the straps into the webbing that wraps around the whole perimeter for added strength

i like the concept because it frees up floor space once it's hanging on the wall ... and ... here in the bay area ... i'd rather have this hanging canvas sling setup banging against the wall during a substantial quake than having some 75 pound hard top on a roll around cart hurtling towards my ride at warp speed
