At least on my car, the carbio sports road high & stiff, exactly the opposite of what I wanted. Low & smooth is the way to go in a convertible.

UPDATE: Contacted eibach and ordered some tender springs and spacers to be able to run a dual rate setup up front as well as shortening the housings finally. Hopefully this will make the car behave a little better over expansion joints and such at speed without severely compromising handling in the turns, or having to raise the car drastically.I am running. . .
GC coils with 460/650R
GC Camber Plates
Shortened Koni SA Shocks
CG Rear Shock Mounts
No rear bar/m3 style adjustable links on the front.
Coming soon modified front struts and rear subframe So I can crank them on down. (they are all the way up in these pics.:D)

Correct me if im wrong but the coupe HR sports lower the rear more than Vert HR sports, right? And the front springs are basically the same?
On your pic, the front of the vert looks lower than the coupe. Engine weight?Comment

Both have M20 (as of right now ;-)) but you are right, the cabrios front is lower (~.5" on wheel arch). Im not sure why but maybe it is the additional structure weight the cabrio contains.Comment

They are high, but not stiff. They have the same spring rate as h&r sports for a coupe/sedan.
I thought you were going with GC coilovers? Linear springs are not going to provide for a smooth/soft ride.

He stated "basically" and thats what I was going on. If its drastically different, I stand corrected. If you have spring rates to compare the two, id like to see them as it would be beneficial to this thread as well.Comment

Spring rates are the same according to the folks at H&R. Difference is the height, for both front and rear. H&R convertible springs are the same as H&R iX springs.Comment

My question is whether the HR Race springs will be stiff enough on a 'vert to run an aggressive wheel/tire combo............I have a feeling the answer is no.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

Wishno87 is running that setup currently on his car and seems to like it as far as ride quality goes. It's lower than stock but not nearly as low as aftermarket springs. Maybe he can chime in.Comment
