    hey, the writeup talks about replacing the SI battery with a remote battery in a location thats easier to get to. im assuming it would have to be rechargeable, but what voltage?

      I swapped my batteries, it only takes about an hour. Just make sure you get the right kind so they will be recharged by the car!

          Where did you find the right NiCd batteries for your swap?

            found mine at battery plus, i'm in orlando FL. they even tach on new terminals for me for free.
