Is there any good way to remove pinstripes?

I'd like to remove my pinstripes, they're old and ugly. I'm worried the paint underneath might look too different from the rest of the paint, although it all looks great. What's the best way?

A hair dryer usually works to heat it up, then just scrape it off. You might have to go back over it after to remove some of the residue.

Heat it up (air dryer). Peel that crap off, and get some bumpersticker adhesive remover for the stuff that's left.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

i had been loking for it, but gave up and did it all by hand. as for the adhesive, rubbing compound and some elbow grease. then buff the car, cause after that you wont be able to feel your arm anyway.

I did a bit of the trunk tonight, I'm really hoping it buffs out to be the same color as the rest of the car. The rest of my paint is in real good condition, it's just in desperate need of a good detailing.

Will that eraser wheel burn paint?

                    Not when used properly no.

A eraser wheel is best used on pinstriping that is no longer soft, and cannot be pulled/scraped off easily.

                    Old pinstripe gets nasty.

i could pull mine off by hand if i worked slowly. Went over the area with the bug/tar remover stuff afterwards and it cleaned up any residue left behind.
Just a little project im working on

that plastic razor blade a.k.a. plastic scraper works great too.
After you get all the razor off, and give the car a quick polish/wax it should look pretty good.
