Did you put the drain plug back in? jk

but seriously, as long as you made sure the drain/fill is sealed there shouldn't be a problem

HAHA true story one of my retard honda buddies had a sock on his intake for some dumb ass reason, anyways he had his car in the garage and had it in reverse when he started it. The sock jammed up in the TB and opened the throttle lol he reversed like a beast right into his new washer and dryer haha and pushed them right out of the garage lol soooo funny, every time I see him I bring it up. Fuggin honda heads.

If your just changing the oil in a non- leaky Manual Tranny and Diff. Are there any O-rings, gaskets or parts that I'll need? Come on folks, this is a car forum, I've been trying to get an answer for this for awhile now.

Drain plug, fill plug. Just R&R, torque to spec and you are done. No crush washers, or whatever, just metric pipe thread. (worst idea on bmw's part)

I forgot that there are crush washers on the drain and fill for the diff. Change those out for new ones.

If your G240 tranny has the same drain plug as my G260, then follow this:

                      1. Buy an hex key socket set.
                      2. Pull 17mm hex key out of 17mm socket adapter.
                      3. Insert 17mm hex key into the plug.
                      4. Put 17mm wrench over 17mm hex key
                      5. Loosen. If it's too tight, use another wrench on the 17mm wrench to lengthen the wrench and increase torque.

BY THE WAY, ALWAYS TAKE OUT THE FILL PLUG FIRST.

same at my car, 17mm for oil dran plug, 240 gerteg trans is 17m HEX times 2 check and fill use 80/140 syn gear oil, your diff is a 10mm HEX times 2 use 75/90 tegra syn. for your P.S. your Dexron 6 thats syn ATF. and your coolant reg. green coolant is just fine unless you wanan go custom liek they use in fords and dodge. that pretty much covers it , I work at a place where i do this all day long :D i do my car for free, ohh yea depends where you live and how hot it is but good oil, use the M1 0w40 . have fun all this stuff is a peace of cake you can do teh hole car in a hour or so, at my job i do this all in 10-15mins max

ohh yea tq your trans check and fill and drain to 25 ft pounds, the rear diff maybe 20 lbs,and your oil pan drain plug is 22lbs, allways replace the seal on the oil pan plug and yea the filter as well , if your really wanna make sure everything is on the dot , drive around for 10 mins come back and check everything or top off if needed :d, if anyone one needs a copy of check charts let me know ill copy some and scan them up, just basic stuff
