I don't think any of them came factory black - the chrome kidneys are almost as trademark as the prop on the emblem.
I see a few Sport Evo's on S14, and they all wear chrome.

According to RealOEM the kidney above is used on E30s with A/C. Who knows...From my observation, US E30s had the fully opened kidneys and Euro Spec E30s had the partially closed kidneys.

I order and recently put on some euro grills and kidney.

Is there really a euro kidney? I saw one on the ebay and told the lady that she had one because this was the same as I had recieved with my euro grills.

She said that her husband of 25 years working on BMWs says that the below picture is not euro. I don't really care but I thought it was. She said that on the open kidney was for the non front spoilered cars and the insert one (below) was one's with front spoilers

True or False? I really have no clue now. I just emailed her back and was like well I guess everyone on the forums are wrong, I guess I won't listen to anything else you all say....haha

    Yes-
Those are the correct part numbers.
We can get them for $49 a set if interested.

The cd is a way of looking at how easily the car move through the air.

I'd just use which ever one is in better condition.

I think a lot of it was BMW seeking to lower cd as much as possible without redesigning the car. I know they were roundly criticized because the Audis of the day had amazingly low cd numbers. It also would've made incremental improvements to the car's top end.
