Does this part wear significantly enough to warrant replacing (and will replacing it gain enough benefit to outweigh cost)?

pelicanparts wants $58 for this bracket (!!) - anyone know where else I could source one from at half the price, like stated above?
Most replace only the bushing. A forum member sells a delrin replacement.

If you want to replace the entire bracket, these guys are awesome. http://www.thebmwpartstore.com

Made a little video of the new dssr

          UUC evo 3 shift lever
          UUC 187mm DSSR
          late model centered shift knuckle
          new selector rod seal
Garagistic front shift carrier delrin bushings
Brent 5631 rear shift carrier delrin bushing
New rubber shift boot body seal
I also removed the harmonic balancer to clear the dssr.

click the picture for the video

            just installed a shifter off an e46 330 into a 318is

twas incredibly easy---and achieved exactly what i wanted---A shorter throw without any difference at all. The shifter itself sits at center in 3rd gear, so it's actually back a little from the stock shifter, but that's actually a very comfortable place...there is no stretching to shift at all.

since its an m42, there was no need to bend the shift rod...just pull out the old cup and shifter, drop in the new one.

I'd highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't want the tiny shifter look, or doesn't want to pay $100 or more for a shifter, since I was able to buy this off ebay for $44 shipped

Thread bump...this question was asked and nobody answered. I'm wondering the same thing.

I would like to get a z3 1.9 shifter and replace all the major wear parts...are these all of them?

                Thanks

Yes, that's all of the ones you need; BMA has this kit, but it's upwards to $120 shipped. Not sure if they separate it

The PO of my car installed a z3 1.9 shifter. I love the feel of the shifts but, when I put it into reverse it pushes the center console over to the left about an inch. It is rubbing through the leather on my shift boot. Any ideas on what it could be?

I'm using an Active Autowerke E36 short throw.

Not sure what lever to compare it to as I've only had a eBay short throw lever before this one but this lever is much better for sure.

Does this one require bending to fit?
