why do they always state to use 96+ e36 parts as far as control arms and shocks and struts with hub assembly. why wont 95 e36 parts work?

instrument cluster needles can be swapped into the E30. just discovered/did this today. DIY pending admin approval.

iirc, early e36s have tilt and it was later removed for safety reasons. I don't know if it swaps.

Also, trying to resume list of what cannot be swapped, I came up with this, not sure if it´s a complete list or if 100% accurate:
windshield or any other glass
doors, hood, trunk
body panels, fenders
bumpers
side mirrors
wheels (unless you complete the 5-lug swap, duh..)
headlights, fog lights, tail lights
headliner, dash, glove box, rear seats, center console, door panels
instrument cluster, OBC
all engine related parts (unless you went 24V) with possible exceptions being accesories such as A/C, power steering, alternator, spark plugs and wires, fuel injectors

what about a 318Ti wreck? Engine, gearbox, of course. rear 5lug and front struts, rack. Interior?
