SOOOO just from reading this I am confused. Is it worth spending the extra 60 bucks for a new one from pelican? Is this thing to short to not run the tank till empty or to long?

I'm wondering this too, as I'm sure I'm going to have to do this job at some point.

    Anyone know of a DIY?

Has anyone else had to put a slightly larger fuse in the fuse box for this pump? A friend and I both put these in and started popping a fuse for the pump. It was fixed by dropping in a fuse that was one step larger than stock.
    Anyone else have this?

higher pitched whine, almost like a whistling noise. also its a vert so the only things between the cabin and the fuel pump is the metal plate and my rear seat.

    Please define loud...

Also, what kind of sound deadening/interior is still in the car?

I did this yesterday after my pump died. After I made the little foot to hold the pump in place I noticed that the pipe I bent (closed off) was a return line. Drilled a hole in the bottom and it all worked out. Only problem I had was one of the fuel senders nuts is stuck and wouldn't unscrew after putting it back in... any idea on how to break it off if I need to access the pump again?
