Groaning noise after TB change

    OK gang - I finally got a video w/ sound. Going for a drive yesterday, heard at cold startup, the noise went away once up to operating temp. I've confirmed it isn't the PS pump by removing the belt. I don't notice any performance problems on the drive.

    Ever heard this noise before?

      Part of that sound isnt too dissimilar to the sound you get from an overly tight belt tension. what brand parts?
      89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

        just take the other two belts off at this point

        sounds like one is way too tight

            Removed the Alternator, AC and power steering belts and briefly ran the engine. That groaning noise is still there, so maybe the issue is related to the timing belt. At this point, I'm probably just going to take it to my preferred indy shop to have them look at it.

            I've done my timing belt a couple times over the years, and the only thing I did different from usual is I replaced the lower TB cover gasket and the front crankshaft seals.

            Engine still doesn't sound happy with the drive belts removed:
