Megasquirt ecu stopped working

So I finally got my ecu running and my car working was gonna go start with tuning it. and now it seems like the ecu is dead its not working won't connect I plugged it into my car and it just keeps priming the fuel it use to do it for a few seconds then turn off now it keeps going and won't connect to my laptop at all what should I start doing I'm gonna test the usb port I bought from memory express in my wideband and if it dose not work my cords the issue if it dose something went wrong nothing looks burnt either

sounds like you have a config error (that's what it means when the FP primes multiple times). that means you made a setting that is not possible with the combination of hardware you have, MS won't run because it could damage your engine.

were you ever able to connect to it with a laptop before? first thing I can think of is to try flashing the firmware again.

what version of MS is it?

yup it was connecting fine , and also working in the car perfectly with a base tune whodwho sent me to use as a guide and easier to help me out , it just randomly stopped working , and now just wont connect anymore port checker knows the usb is plugged into com 3 but won sense the ecu , also tried reflashing the firmware and got no where it wont even connect anymore I sat for hours last night redoing the pin output wires for the 55 pin with nothing still the same issue (bosch 55pin micro squirt firmware 3.2.4)

When mine wouldn't connect any more it was because I corrupted my cpu chip. Cheap replacement on ms1, not so much ms2 though.

When you made a new project/tune, there werent any errors right? And were you having any running issues? If there were errors or you're having running issues, you might have a cpu problem. Check to make sure you're getting good power to the ecu and all that good stuff

Could also be a different as I am running ms1, and mine corrupted due to constant resets (which are still happening :( )

you can't really "corrupt" the chip - at least not permanently.

are you sure there's not another reason it isn't communicating? the FP priming several times and then shutting off really does mean "config error". as in, you made a setting that's not possible.

I'd post up on msextra and see if you can get some help recovering it, if the problem isn't the COM port itself.

Wel that's the thing it dosent keep prining the pump anymore it keeps it going and won't shut off idk it use to connect without a problem and it just won't connect even with the jumper so I can't really reset or upload a new firmware

Alright thank I msged matt off diyauto he told me to check the voltages I'm getting both 5 and 12v at the right pins

okay matt is taking way to long to replay.. whodwho I really need your help here I gotta fix this asap my cars running lean aswell and I was gonna get to tuning but got screwed and need to know what steps to take , so far im getting voltage to the board , I checked some resistors but ill have to redo them and make sure , I get way more voltage when the boot jumper is connected tho to each component this thing is not connecting to anything and is just I think fried or something... if plugged into my car it dose nothing it wont even start the car just the fuel just keeps pumping like always... I tried resoldering a few things and checking them out... is there any way the db9 serial that was installed on the megasquirt has messed up or , and I also feel some components get warm ont he microsquirt so I know im getting power there , I got a serial to serial port aswell as the usb my desktop wont recognize the serial port at all , it shows lt1 which is for a printer and I cant switch it to a com port

My money's on nando's recovery process or just a fried ecu like mine, but I'd wait to hear from people who know what they're talking about lol, I'm a beginner when it comes to MS too

As for running lean, I'd run VEAL on tunerstudio it does it all for you, but you can certainly manually increase the VE values in the bins where your car is lean.

theee fckkk I just redid my serial db9 port and ... its connecting and giving me some Chinese writing the hell is this is the firmware corrupt and I can reflash it noooo

the jummpers out i need a new db9 port ill go buy one tom but one problem u see how there is stainless till rings around the holes i need to repair 2 of them how would i repair them and what is ti called the steel or what ever came off with the db9 port

Repaired , matt at DIY repaired my micro squirt I had corrupted the firmware and also damaged the traces which DIY dose not touch any DIYPNP except for the module matt sent me this picture and told me to jumper the DB9 traces were bad here is how it was fixed ,
