Pnp ms2 is not controlling my icv

Well if you can't tell I'm still pretty new to megasquirt and I'm having a few issues but this one in particular has me lost. I tested it with the stock ecu and it snaps should when you turn the key on but with megasquirt on whodwho 60lb single coil base map the icv does nothing at all. Anything setting I change in the idle control tables do absolutely nothing and it it set to 2-3 wire valve with pwm.
Could there be anything else I'm missing software settings or even a hardware problem?

I also bought this ms2 used from another member but it is so build by whodwho, v1.2

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hey Steve

I assume with it working with the stock ECU that the valve has power(you should hear/feel it buzz). Do you know how it is setup within TunerStudio(open loop, closed loop, none)

What version of firmware is it running? Is it running a std or variable TPS and how is the ECU jumpered? If it is setup for closed loop and the TPS is not giving a proper signal it may not respond as you are experiencing.

You can pull the cover and there are LEDs that can help diagnose the issue.

Let me know how you make out

Yes it works with the stock ecu and, also tried open and closed loop both using a vtps and the board is jumpered correctly. I'm using the newest firmware for the megasquirt and the idle control led is lit up.
Could this be a bad transister on the board?

If you have any new boards ready to be built let me know I have a stock ecu still and I would like to get a entirely new megasquirt to go wasted spark.
      Thanks,
      Stevan

There are two LEDs, they both should be lit. There is a test mode in TunerStudio that you can use to test it under CAN bus / testmodes > Output Test Mode I/O - fiddle

You can use that to test, clicking 'on' one will light, clicking 'off' the other should light, pulsed they should both be lit

Well I'm actually getting no leds lit up and the test mode doesn't do anything.
Could it be a bad transistor on the board?

Myself, and one other have had issues with MS2 and the ICV.....might be a bad transistor, I believe U8?

Mine worked for 3 x months and the one day started the car and my RPMs jumped to 3k! I tried everything and finally made the call to run without an ICV for about a year until I finally got the ECU fixed....now back to running a ICV!

Ya I'm running without a icv for now, which fixed my stalling issue. I contacted whodwho and he is building me a complete new board. So hopefully I'll have a icv again soon :)

I can echo this exact thing with my ms2. I "fixed" it by removing the ICV and installing a drilled dime in the pipe. But yeah, one day about a year or so after I installed it, the idle was just gone.
