no, they are smooth and shiny. Almost like a chrome finish but not as bright.

yeah jason ...thats what they had in the show room...but does the smooth stuff help w the heat displacement? or is the crinkle sheet better for that?

I've never seen the crinkle coat before. It takes awhile for mine to cool down, but not as much as a non coated header.

im guessin that the crinkle stuff is ceramic while the jet hot is the more like paint product. all i want is the best for heat displacement . i ll call steve at top end and see what he says.

That is an old set of stock headers resurfaced with silver ceramic. I think they called the finish Crome.

If you're worried about the heat. Then use header wrap.

i m not so worried about the heat in the engine compartment as i am just the expanding and contracting of the metal leading to failure. plus i just want them to look nice.

iv used wrap in the past ...it wouldnt stay in place...i was not really happy with it. could have been my installtion... but i have seen that gold satellite shit look hella cool!

                        haters start here....

2.25 stainless steel straight pipe going in...

steel is still dirty so the pics are not that clean yet
but im gona polish them a bit

                        no muffler yet....
                        checking out my options

i gotta weld in the 02 sensor tomarrow or maybe sat seeing as to how i get a root canal after work.

im dieing to start the thing but i wont till after i get the header back form coating....

probably pretty sick with just a straight pipe

and no shit talking on the temp wire holding it in place =p

yeah they are big...but i wanted to have plenty of surface to make a good seal...i think they are 4" dia. to fit the 2.5" piple

made them at work after i couldnt find anything else...

why not use a V-band clamp? much cleaner and easier to work on.
