Pictures of ground clearance with these on the car too. I want to see how far they hang down.

im guessing you are running an 02 sensor...helicoil?
Since I custom made the rest of the exhaust, I bought an O2 bung online, drilled a hole in the exhaust just after the header and welded the bung on.

Sure, I can try to do that. With my winter wheels and snow tires (14") the car is even lower than normal and I measured only 3" of ground clearance between the header outlets and the ground. The lollipops are about 3.5" IIRC. However, the roads are pretty rough and bumpy around here and I haven't scraped them yet. Last night I even went over two speed bumps that I was sure would scrape and it didn't.

To everyone else, I'm going to try to give a write up and pics of the install process this weekend. Just have to rebuild my front calipers, too... lol.

im installing the ebay headers you posted at the moment on my '90 325i. i didnt have too much problem with fitment at all, pretty straight forward. its a tight fit but everything looks pretty good. im doing straight pipe true dual exhaust...i will post sound clips when its finished. looks pretty cool at the moment. does anyone know if its ok to run the car with no 02 sensor?

i really got lucky with the fitment....didnt have any problems. they hang slightly lower than the rest of the car...put it looks higher than the oil pan. i dont have a skid plate installed

it's "OK" but I'd rather have one than not.

best place to add a bung would be after a X/Y merge so it reads from both banks. You can use a 525i O2 sensor, same thing with a longer cable.

how tight is the oil filter to the headers? it looks like a pretty tight fit to changed the oil filter.

not a problem, actually changed my oil right after install. the filter is still easily accessible from the bottom of the car. today the car gets back from the exhaust shop. i cant wait to hear how it sounds!!!

Good! I have been eyeballing these for a while and waiting for the price to drop some.

They are at a price I will pay now. I have the super sprint ebay copies now and I am thinking about paying the neighbors 5year old to come change the filter because my gorilla hands wont fit, but his might.

I was thinking of risking and runnin open headers to an exhaust shop...how LOUD is it? Would i definately get busted? its about a 10 min drive (freeway)

And Der Affe, I love your sig. I can just stare at that for ever.

I tried it, it's flat out deafening. My ears were aching after 2-3 minutes standing near the car at idle.

LOL ^^^ hes 100% right. i drove it open header to an exhaust shop 5 minutes away. it sucked after the first minute of driving lol.

i received the car back today, the headers were about 5 inches away from the floor after they fitted my pipes. im not even exaggerating. my car is seriously dumped, so im going to bring up the coils a little and cut my perches while im at it. ill post pictures when everything is done correctly tomorrow. i just moved the car from front of the shop to back, but startup sounded AWESOME!

Another thank you from me, i've been eying these for a little while, glad to see they appear to be decent for ebay headers.

I also bought a set of these after browsing ebay and stumbling upon this thread.
These definitely seem better than some of the other ebay headers I have seen in person.
Overall I am pleased with the purchase, but have yet to actually run them, and am still unsure if they will clear my steering rack (swapped e21).

out of the box (shipped fast btw)

on the engine, note they are not snugged down.

fitment is a bit tight on the studs, but they do fit.
The flange is definitely not flat, and there is quite a bit more wobble/resulting gap than stock (but I think the gasket should take care of this, or they could easily be milled) Also on my set you can see the front manifold has heat tint at the flange, whereas the rear seems to be powedercoated/dipped?

Overall I am pleased with the set for the $.

                                Edit:
Unfortunately they do not fit swapped e21s, and will be up for sale.
