here is a comparo i did of my IE shorty's back in 2005..still on my car now.. without any issue whatsoever ..
it should give u an idea about the design and a visual of the flow pattern
the downpipe/b-pipe needs to be welded to a flange to connect to your catalytic. any muffler shop should make sure that they (headers) have sufficient clearance. my car is on Koni's w/IE stage III's and DD on 14" basket weaves..

lowered on IE3s with 205/60/14 tires, probably not nearly as low as your car since you have 10mm drophats

my pics are there. 10mm drop hats front 60/50lowtech springs. i haven't taken any measurements.

yes i try my best to avoid them. sometimes i clear to in a angle and with only "me" in the car lol. and sometimes i don't
you say you scrap but with me. i drag to the point it feels as if im hung there.
and you say that you scraping but did it ever broke your header? maybe mines was easier to break because they was shorties??? IKD. lol

After having a STUPENDOUS battle with the welded exhaust on my car while doing shifter linkage work, I am going to have a new system built. There will be several places to take it apart at...what a hassle!

yeah i know the 1st one been used alot. but nobody really never mention about them being low. i don't know if their cars are lowered like mines or if they really never cared to mention it. IDK. but im going to search again.
i might end up finding a shop to re weld my headers then shorting the downpipes.

    thanks for the help.
