I've heard going 2 heat ranges colder is good for a boosted car, but since you guys are the boosted e30 experts I'll ask you. My car runs 8psi boost right now on the recommended heat range plug, but I need to change them out.
what kind/heat range of spark plugs do you use

hey just for anyone searching in the future, I've got part numbers:
for one heat range colder its NGK plug BPR6ES
for two heat ranges colder its NGK plug BPR7ES
bosch doesn't have plugs available for colder heat ranges.sigpicComment

I'm planning on running BPR6ES with my stroker (been running OE bosch until now), for turbo I'd probably go for the 2 heatrange colder plugs.Comment

in future its simply better to have a look at the state of your plugs. If they are too cold they will get sooted up and foul, especially if left sit for a period of time while idling. Just keep changing up a range until the plugs clear. Quite often you find you dont need much of a change at all.Just a little project im working on

I got tired of changing spark plugs...I dislike coppers.
hotter plugs idle better and help throttle response down low, but get overheated during prolonged abuse.
Stock NGKs would be bpr5es
I am currently using NGK BPR7EIX iridium plugs, 2 steps colder.
for the track, i use BPR8EIX, 3 steps colder
thumb of rule...for every 85-100hp increase, take 1 step colder.Comment
