a BOV isn't really the most important part of a turbo system.. all the parts are highly and equally important.

also above 7psi, you need an intercooler. Otherwise you're just pumping a bunch of hot air into the system, you might have pressure but what you want is density.

Agreed, but without this part, the system would not last very long at all.

of course not, but neither would it last long without a wastegate, good tuning, efficient intercooling or large enough exhaust.
