that's really clean! I'm building a turbo set up for my e30 using a 524td manny for that
stock look, and was think I would like to make it look more "stock" build and that the best set up I've seen..!

Oh concerning the law... If I was to "sell" the car to my Aunt in Az and she had it turboed then sold it to Me... woould that get around the hole law thing..
I was also told "by a tuner shop here in Cail" that if you document your build and
and able to blow clean you can go to a ref and get a dmv slip.. much like a swap as long as you pass under the sert for your cars/motors date? is this true as well???????

None of that is true.

"Sell" your car to your aunt in AZ and keep the AZ plates on the car, then you go by her somg laws. If a cop asks, say you're in town for less than 10 days.

The rule pretty much goes like this:

If your engine is not the way it was when it left the factory it is considered illegal in cali.

Exception: most 24v swaps are legal. the rule is you must put an engine in your car that newer than your car. ex. 97 m52 swap into a 1991 chassis...

Exception 2 : Theres lots of intakes, exhaust ect ect that have legit CARB numbers which are completely legal.

If you turbo your m20, m42 ect ect there is no way to make it legal. Just because its turbo does not mean it wont pass the sniffer. You can have a clean running turbo car that passes emissions just fine problem is it will not pass visual inspection and will therefore fail smog.

nice. i kinda like the idea of a hidden turbo, kinda like the idea of a sexy as fuck hot 2nd girl friend. its cool to think and dream about, and would be badass in reality, but not something realistic.

Yes, that's why you must claim it as a 1995 s50b30 (us spec) when getting it legalized/reff'd. If you wish to legalize an s52 swap you must retain everything from the 97' m3 at which the e30 must possess. Engine/electronics/emissions for the motor.
