    I upgraded to a Walbro 255 pump.

30# injectors would be fine for 10-12psi, but that's about it. Their duty cycle is about maxed out at that point. You could probably do 15psi, as was my plan for them, but that's maxing them out and never a good thing.

I haven't fired up the car and tried adjusting the idle fueling yet with the 42# injectors. I'm using the Miller WAR chip on the stock Motronic DME, and Motronic has trouble managing injectors larger than 30#.

Get a wideband and keep an eye on it, you'll be fine.

Here is my project thread on my local forum:

Jeff, I have a new Cometic(still in the box) that came with my TCD kit. Not sure which one it is but I can check when I get home tonight. If it works for you, you're welcome to come and grab it and then just catch up with me when yours comes in. I'm going to be boxing up my head to send to VAC this weekend so its going to be a while before I need it.

Gasket came. Wrong one. The one that showed has a 81mm bore. WTF?

Like this. Note the coolant passages have been partially filled in.

Cool ill look it that more maybe get my machine shop to help me put on that

Damn that's a lot of dough. I get a complete m20 for $88 on half off days. I wonder how much it would be to ship an885 headto australia. Can't be more then $300 right? I can have one welded and refreshed for $500 including the cost of the head
That's what they would charge at a bmw wrecker, if your lucky you could find a much cheaper one at a random pick and pull but you gotta question the condition of the motor, down here its better and cheaper option to buy a donar car such as a 525i and transfer most of it over. I had a deal with someone on this forum to do a direct swap of my 731 head for his 885 head and all we do is pay for our own postage which was $300 but it didn't fall through

Sorry for the noob question but what is the point of welding the water jackets I hear alot of people doing it on e30tech with their turbo m20 motors
Adds strength to the head. If you look at the coolant openings on the mating surface, you're only using about 20% of it on the drain side and 10% on the feed. You weld in the remaining area and have the surface machined. Winning.
