Superbowl sunday updates, had to pull this little pin out of the hot side so i could rotate the turbo, then drilled out the hot side stud holes since they were tiny and wouldnt allow the larger bolts that came with the mani

Today I got my m50 a/c lines and made adapters to the e30 lines, also just purchased my lc-1
Now i need to figure out what affordable 42lb injectors I can use, ive searched and no one really has a solid answer on this other than just buying the expensive ones which i want to avoid
Next on the to-do list is to cut my ebay fmic pipes to fit and take them to a friend to be tigged
Pics soon, stay tuned all you lively forced induction kibitzers!

So im am subscribed and will be watching closely.

I just picked up an e30 and will be getting a nvM50 almost free out of an e34. I will be using this thread for inspiration.

Cool, if you have any questions just ask

I've hit a small slow down, I need to purchase two 45* couplers, a reducer from 3.5 to 2.5 inches for the boot going to the TB, and another coupler with a hump to finish my charge pipes. I had originally planned to tig a bunch of stuff but having removable sections could be handy

So while I wait for parts to show up I decided to get to work on a skid plate today and I am stoked on how it came out, ill be posting pictures of that hopefully later tonight.

          here it is
I started with this piece of flat steel, held it up there and then beat the shit out of it with a hammer, then drilled holes in it where the horns mount. Then welded two nuts to the subframe and drilled holes in the aluminum plate I found, it isnt finished yet but you get the idea

Cool, ill be buying couplers and a 10 inch pusher from there soon, thanks jeer!

Does anyone know how I can route the air for the ICV? I need to figure out which hoses need disconnected and rerouted and to where so they dont receive boost.

I just read the icv is ok to receive boost, can anyone confirm?

Yes ICV is fine under boost, make sure you epoxy the fitting under the manifold for it. That little clip will not hold and can blow out under boost.

I'd look in to changing out the hotside of that turbo. The late 80's volvos used bigger turbos then the 90s models.

                      I have a question guys,

Right now im working on making coolant lines that replace the routing to the throttle body, im using some 1.8t (i think, doesnt matter) hard lines, bending them into shape and plan on running hoses to them.
But I was searching to see if anyone else had done what im doing and found this
We are the source for the highest quality in BMW performance parts and accessories, including BMW armrest covers and boots.

So has anyone used this? It looks awesome and I like braided line more than hard lines and hoses, Anyone have an opinion on this?

Alright so Ive decided not to spend more money just for the pretty lines, so today i got back to work on bending some lines, ill be running coolant from the head to the turbo and then to the block drain, and then plugging the other TB coolant line.
Once this is done i can bolt the intake manifold on, and first start should be very soon, ill try to get lots of pics up tmrw since im slacking
For the crank case vent I plan on running check valves in the lines and running them like normal, sound like itl work?

Ive been busy trying to get this ready for first start but heres something from today
Shouldn't be much longer and ill have lots of photos and hopefully good news about a start, pretty nerve racking after two months of hard work to actual turn the key.

Today was the best day ive had in 2 months and 11 days, Got first start!
hooked up megasquirt, filled her with oil, and boom fired right up first try
I have to thank Derek aka Blueapplesoda a lot he talked me through a bunch of stuff today and was supper helpful in general and ill be recommending him to anyone considering MS, cant beat first crank start up!
Anyways I know this is no fun without pics and videos so ill try and get those uploaded soon
This week ill be trying to street tune it with the Autotune feature in Tunerstudio which so far im pretty optimistic about, if i cant get it done myself ill be talking to the local honda guru about getting some dyno time
hopefully ill have big smokey burnouts for everyone soon

Does anyone know what may be causing tunerstudio to show my afrs way wrong(usually sticks at 9.8 )while my wideband gauge reads correct?
Also I have trouble getting the car to idle after a few hot runs, Im a complete noob to tuning so my method as of now is drive the car with the laptop open watching the VE table and AFR gauge and just adjust values up and down where I see problems
If i could figure out how to use the megalogviewer I think id be able to tune a lot faster but I really dont get that either.
help me out those of you who have tuned before!

oh and it feels amazing! a lot of the mid range power is smooth and wooooooh its sweet whole new car , and wow the RFL is REALLY FKING LOUD
women grab up there children when it pops off haha

Setup wideband under project property settings and calibrate it under tools.
