I might replace some of the return with two of those really thin intercoolers. Also i am not lowering the car significantly. Im one of the few who love the stance of the e30. would two small intercoolers one after the other reduce flow? i know im crazy guys... Unless i can fit a normal one back there easily...(with the wheel hump gone) Which i Think it will.

Don't buy temporary parts. Get what you want from the start and you'll save lots of time and money.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

theres a reason why remote mount turbos exist...sts makes good money proving why they are good and work great
some of the v8 guys like the tt vettes use remote mounts simply to distribute more weight and nothing else....maybe also to avoid the extreme heat. You will also notice the remote systems seem to be swayed towards twin set ups to achieve faster spool and desired boost with smaller turbos...
trucks use the tt systems a lot too......remote mounted systems are pretty bad ass in my opinion and anyone running one properly gets a thumbs up in my book

STS and a lot of custom guys have posted proof all over the internet that lag and the difficulty in reaching desired boost is a myth, you just need to do it right. My biggest worry would be the oiling system, getting boost is easy with the right piping and a properly sized setup
plus you can hear the turbos spool in the exhaust much easier, sounds better imo
