Not feeling the BOOST!

I skimmed over the thread and just read this;
This, leads to this:
I'm willing to bet your turbo is blown.
Ebay turbo's are hit and miss. Took a friend 2 weeks to blow his, and another 1 year.
There is also a thread on here with some dude in a bronzit running one for 2 years lol.Comment

setup is a lot cleaner and simpler than I had envisioned. only thing I can think of is a dead turbo, BOV constantly leaking air, wastegate open. If your boost gauge is showing vacuum its all good its just the fact that your simply not making boost.
is the gauge getting close to zero under load?

running ebay turbo here too.
.60AR CX Racing whatever the generic chinabrand is...
over 1 year no issues...
but I wouldn't rule out blown turbo.
certainly you would not of installed it with a grinding wheel etcOriginally posted by flyboyxi have watched my dog lick himself off a few timesComment

Wastegate stuck open? Do you have its vacuum lines plumbed correctly? Have you got a new boost gauge? they sell them at pepboys...just grab one and return it when you are done.
The turbo is such a simple device I don't know how it could be bad...but don't rule it outComment

i tested the wastgate and its functioning properly and yes the gauge will go up to zero but wont go past zero thats under a load while im driving. If the turbo is spooling and the BOV is releasing pressure when i let off the throttle could the turbo still be blown. im running an i head on an e block could that be an issue?

Those T3 gaskets suck. I've blown them out in a week. Would be hard to hear the leak with an open down pipe.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Sounds like an exhaust leak inbetween the head and the turbo or the waste gate is stuck open, or an intake leak on a charge pipe. Thats the only things that come to mind. Its a head scratcher for sure :-)sigpic
