Back pressure from the muffler helps building boost pressure.
Also, to have "boost" motor has to be under load, means car has to be driven. At idle you will not see any boost.

So your boost gauge doesn't work? Is it hooked up properly? What gauge is it? Does it have a reading for vacuum and boost? Do you have vacuum readings?

Did you connect the charge pipes, lol?

Why did you change where the boost gauge gets it's signal? What was wrong with the FPR hose?

My boost gauge doesnt show boost but it will show vacuum. all the pipes are connected nice and tight. and one of my friends suggested that i change it to see if it would read differently.

                      what size turbo you running?

if it's gigantic, you might not be building into boost untill way high in the rpm range...
