Most people feel 18 psi is fine fine a proper tune and a stronger clutch.

Proper tune is the key as he mentioned.

Stock m20 can handle more than 25 psi but with a pretty PERFECT TUNE ;)

so many people have done it ..

I'll be in the 20+ club in a couple weeks.

Also my buddy is selling a low mileage stock turbo from his evo8 for $250. He was boosting 30lbs so i think it can handle 12psi on a 2.5l motor no problem.

evo turbos are available locally. that real interesting with how much boost the m20 can take. thats great. i guess when the time comes to getting it all together and we sit her on the dyno we will just keep going till we get some nice out of it.

Yea the internals can handle a lot lol, if you run MLS and head studs. My buddy ran 23lbs for the longest time lol.

MLS is a fail... don't even bother with it as it will leak eventually... if you want to run over 20 psi to be safe just o-ring the block.

Otherwise stock HG all the way.

Chuck a BA/BF Falcon turbo on it. They're pretty cheap second hand. I know a guy running one on his vl turbo factory cast manifold, Falcon Gt35 turbo internal gated no boost control issues what so ever he pushed 354rwkw.

Wow. I had no idea the stock motor could handle that type of abuse.
I have a 87 325IS and was going to go with a newer motor just so I could boost it.

But sounds like my best bet is get another motor, Rebuild it with quality parts
and Headstuds and I'll be fine. I'm looking for 300WHP.
