Stock m20 can handle more than 25 psi but with a pretty PERFECT TUNE ;)
so many people have done it ..Comment

I'll be in the 20+ club in a couple weeks.
Also my buddy is selling a low mileage stock turbo from his evo8 for $250. He was boosting 30lbs so i think it can handle 12psi on a 2.5l motor no problem.Last edited by einstein57; 05-07-2012, 01:04 PM.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Yea the internals can handle a lot lol, if you run MLS and head studs. My buddy ran 23lbs for the longest time lol.

MLS is a fail... don't even bother with it as it will leak eventually... if you want to run over 20 psi to be safe just o-ring the block.
Otherwise stock HG all the way.Comment

Chuck a BA/BF Falcon turbo on it. They're pretty cheap second hand. I know a guy running one on his vl turbo factory cast manifold, Falcon Gt35 turbo internal gated no boost control issues what so ever he pushed 354rwkw.

Wow. I had no idea the stock motor could handle that type of abuse.
I have a 87 325IS and was going to go with a newer motor just so I could boost it.
But sounds like my best bet is get another motor, Rebuild it with quality parts
and Headstuds and I'll be fine. I'm looking for 300WHP.Comment
