It's all about management. That's the biggum. With out a half decent management your going no where fast. Or going fast for a second then nowhere fast.

Hey You is right on the money. Methanol also cools the intake charge, thus acting like an intercooler.

I'm running the stock distributor, I tune for boost and not for mileage, so I am loosing some performance on the economy side of things, but fuel economy is not may goal, lol.

If you were even contemplating running anything less than 91 with a boosted engine, STOP! You need to spend a few months/years reading/researching what it takes to turbocharge an engine. My recommendation is to spend your $800 and buy a beater to drive while you turbo your car.

honeslty right now i dont put less then 91 in and that actully hard to do cause almost every gas station where i am has 89 and then 93 its hard to find 91, but thats a side point. i clearly have a ton of research to do. as far as the rrfpr i think i am going to go with it and deal with a little rough ideal and just try to find some sort of in between and probably work on my ignition system to get it as smooth as possible i wont mind a little rough. right now im going to finish my interior ( soon to be done will post pics up once complete) and then save like a made man, and see where i get.

one question i do have is right now with this set up i only want to run 8pis max, so on a small turbo about how much ( a rough guess would be more the fine) power should i expect? 50? or more or less?

I think solo318 is running about twice that boost and getting around 250whp, but that is with MS. His turbo is also a medium sized turbo. It's hard to say, but I would guess around 175-200whp with that boost?

Nothing wrong with eBay kits. Just buy them for a base & upgrade the weak bits in the kits.

Anyways about cooling Hsv looks like your running a lil hot.

Oh & read the manual. Says 91 only. It pains me to see someone pump 87 in there e30. In my broke days I'd run 89. Car would run like shit though. 91=happy m10

No, my temp gauge was wacked out for some reason. It seems to be working now better then it ever.

I would stay away from the kits on eBay. I would rather just pick and choose components, because the kit comes with extra junk I don't think you really need. Example, turbo timer, just not my cup of tea.

8psi is not okay without an intercooler. It wouldnt be hard to find a good ic at a junk yard. Im sure you could find most of the parts at one. And your going to want to run atleast 91 anyways.

True. I'd only really buy it for intercooler & piping. But then at that price would be way cheaper to just make it lol
