              what're the parts you wouldn't use? i mean things that'll be higher quality. not like a bigger turbo or cooler blow off valve you get me? with some more info i'd gamble. young and broke yippeeeee

                    You'll still need to spend like 800 on megasquirt, plus you'll need at the very least an AFR gauge, and if you add boost and oil pressure gauges you're already looking at over 1600 easily. For that money I'd wait around until someone on the forums decides to go NA and you could pick up a quality setup with everything necessary for less than that price. Oh and exhaust stuff.

                    Even at full cheapo, could a car even run with boost and no management?

                      I ran my war chip on my M42 turbo with stock tune for months boosting 11psi and 42lbs injectors with not to many issues.

                          I've bought everything for my turbo build for just over 1800. Including megasquirt diypnp with wasted spark and boost control, 42# injectors, AFR gauge an all. And a nice tubular manifold. You just gotta be a forum lurking pro. And Craigslist. And don't impulse buy! It makes you buy shit like an hx40, and then a week later buy an hx35 haha.
