    best turbo oil drain setup?

so Im in the process of rebuilding my engine , and I don't want to have to take off the oil pan again. so if any one knows the best fittings for an m20 oil drain set up let me know. Id perfer not to have to weld, but if it happens to be the best set up to weld in a bung then im all for it. I would love to just get some info from you turbo guys of which fittings I need or if i can go in to the block somewhere, pros and cons of going in to the oil pan or the block , ect ect help me out

going into the oil pan is the easiest. weld a bung in as high as possible. use -8 or -10 AN fittings

You need to take your pan off to do it anyway you do it.

      This is best

Tapped 3/4in (doesnt have to be that big) threaded and sealed with jb weld. Its a lot easier than welding that shitty cast aluminum. And its the highest point on the pan. Ive ran that pan set up while sliding sideways and being crazy and never had drain issues

I also have that pan in the pic if you want to buy a pre tapped one :)

Well the best way of doing it is to tap the side of the engine block instead of the oil pan.

Only welding it would have been nice but that is the highest point on the pan

Dudes, use a bulkhead fitting and two bonded rubber sealing washers

I didn't weld on a fitting either. I drilled a hole in the pan and used a bulkhead fitting (from summit) It worked great on my last build and I'll be using the same on the current build. No leaks. I did punch in the threads on the inside of the oil pan so the bolt can't come loose (just for safety)
