m20 turbo will not build boost wtf.

I have googled a bit on this, and my m20 will not build anything past -2hg

    Stock b25 oringed block
    holset h1c
    38mm tial wg
    50mm tial bov

All couplers are on tight. Everything from head to turbo is tight as can be. Wg has the fire ring and is tight.

I do not understand, no boost and to be sure the bov doesn't open. If I rip it i get some turbo flutter when shifting but the car doesnt feel like its really boosted, it feels a little quicker then a b25 but not much. Eithorway, neutral or driving the bov does not open and gauge reads only in vacuum.

    Any tips?

Build an intake leak tester, see if you have any crazy boost leaks.
Disconnect your wastegate (forcing it to stay closed) and see if it builds boost just make sure to keep a very close eye on it.

Seems odd that it will not build boost at all.

Forget anything in the intake pipes or manifold?
          T-shirt? Some rags, ect.

          disconnect the wastegate.
If it stays the same then it's the wg.

Did you rebuild the turbo by chance?

I baught the turbo remanufactured. It sucks a bit when rev but not enough to build any boost.

Ill double check the rags but I feel that everything is all clear. Ran into cooling issues so once they are sorted I will disconnect the vacuum line to the wg and see if that changes anything.

Turbo spins free, all couplers are on pretty tight. My other idea is the fmic was an eBay one and the company was cx racing I believe but they had terrible customer service.. Wouldn't put it past them to sell me a leaking fmic.

That would be a leak that you could hear, that's a ton of volume to be leaking.

Sent from the future. Or my phone, who knows.

99% sure I found the culprit. I have a Manu adapter and the way it bends its hard to get the nuts to stock headers tight.

Pulled it off and inner welds on the adapter created high spots thus screwing over the seal. The external welds were also too excessive which allowed the but washers to not be torqued fully since they would hit a weld.

Reground everything and tested, still was getting a pin hole leak. Broke a stud over torquing but found one more high spot to grind down. I couldn't tell that this was the issue because of visibility and I was running only the downpipe so did not notice the noise since its already loud
