either way, you save thousands by using the roots over whipple and youd be impressed with roots as well. that immediate low end torque response is fun

Lysholm>>>>hEaton. The screw design is much better than the roots. The reason people use roots blowers is because they come on a lot of production cars so they are cheaper to get your hands on. Also they have slightly different characteristics. The roots style gives you a torque curve which is very steep in the lower rpms and then is essentially flat after that. The lysholm style (screw, whipple) is more linear meaning you build more torque as RPMs increase, although no where close to a centrifugal type setup.
The torque onset of the roots makes it pretty hard to launch a car decently and it can really put the car into oversteer in the corner (the rear end passes you). I prefer a lysholm style because the torque onset happens with increasing RPM, which generally means you are moving and the power you are creating is going towards accelrating the vehicle rather than lots of wheel spin and some acceleration. You only need to make as much power as you can put down at that time.

like to see the dyno sheets and how well the car runs after the instalation on the s/c i cant stand turbo's. well they are nice for power but i like the power curve of a s/c better,it starts right from the bottom and goes smoothly(hopefully) right to the top.unlike turbos that kick in at 3k rpm. i would like to see some tq in the m20.Leave a comment:

and that will bolt to 2.8 m20 with no drama.
There are a lot of new superchargers on the market. The twin screw supercharger, already mentioned in this thread seems pretty awesome.

I'm not speaking for Greg,but he's a busy guy.He's also working on many other projects that the supercharger was to open up.Along with project cars.
I'm not sure he want to start showing pictures of the SC just yet due to competition.You guys know what I mean?
