Perfect choice .. off course if it's a "REAL" tial ..

I'm using a Turbosmart Ultra 38mm with no issues and good results ..

tial 38mm as well. I use a vband adapter since the 666 manifold uses the old style flange while the wastegate is a Tial MVS. No problems so far with a 13lb spring and a homemade boost controller holding right at 15psi.

Tial 38 seems very common as do the 44mm

I used a knockoff 38mm and it worked fine. I enjoyed gambling my entire engine with a $60 part instead of a $260 because I also had megasquirt with overboost protection. I would get spark cuts before my boost went higher than I wanted.

If you dont have that system I would go for $$ quality.

Running a wyntonm ebay gate here. It has worked fine for 7k miles. That doesn't sound like much, but the car is only used for high-speed auto-x, so those are really hard miles.

Overboost protection works perfectly with megasquirt.

I'm using dual 38mm Emusa gates. Haven't had them on the car yet but I have a few friends with LS/turbo setups that use thing with no issues. They actually come with a 1 year warranty. not bad for $70 a piece.

Never heard of these before, how do they compare to the tial ones?

Knock off for sure, and probably not a pretty, but they function well. the v-band clamps look more on the cheap side but still strong. I'm going to take lapping compound to all the v-band flanges before final install.

I run twin mv-r 44's. I am pleased with them, all the components used in the assembly are pretty nice.

If you want some insight on changing the springs I can describe the method I always use as it can be tricky and you don't want to strip the threads in the body when you are aligning and tightening the aluminum cap on.
