I don't think that combo works.

Because the point of this forum is to share information with each other.

Not to give a smartass reply when somebody asks you more details about the reliability of the motor.

Dude, the reason Nando asked how reliable it was is because it's kind of a sketchy route to go. Shaving down the I pistons really makes the crown of the piston quite small. It brings the valve reliefs dangerously close to going right though.

It's just an all around risky thing to do.

Ususally you're suppose to use I-rods - aren't you, with this? Using eta rods would make it way too short. (maybe i'm mistaken?)

what is your problem? I just wanted to know how you accomplished it, and what kind of power you were putting down.

On my Stroker i got a Super ETA Bottom-End ..rebuilt the whole thing with many mods and i installed it all with the "i" engine head and all other i" engine parts ...

THe only thing different for the timing is that because i shaved the head 1.5mm, it was not dead on the timing mark. bvut very very close...So i have some timing retard which is good at high RPM...

I got the head chambers redone to fit the pistons in for a higher compression...which is about 10.8 to 1..295/295 cam ...fully ported head and intake..E36 injectors Lightweight flywheel with a 6 puck racing clutch..I also got some weight off the connecting rods then rebalanced...I also got a spacer with the Oil pump spring to increaser the Oil pressure...specially because i run it at 7000rpm quite often and do want lots of Oil on that cast crank....
Hope you like your setup...I find it pulls hard all the way to 7000rpm but after a while i wanted more...Good thing i have N.O.S.

Or at least that was his old setup.
