    Bottom mounted turbo setups

    Hi guys

Does anyone have knowledge about builds with bottom mounted turbo setup on either M20 or M50 engines in an E30?

As you might imagine, many are interested in top mounting because bottom mount puts the turbo in a place that requires a scavenging pump for the oil return.

If I'm not mistaken, BMW did a bottom mount turbo on the 2002 turbos, but I'm sure that doesn't help you at all.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

        Thanks guys :)

How high above the floor pan is the turbo required to sit, without use of a scavenging pump?
