I like making stuff ( short runner intake ) for the deuce

Sorry not done yet but I got a good start in today.

Take one 318 intake manifold and chop most of it off, weld some .125 wall 2 inch tubing to it and you get this,

Now it's a little oversize for the ports,

So you have to do a little porting, rough,

As good as I'm going to make it,

Here is that part sitting on a junk head that I used for welding up my turbo manifold, looks like a straight shot to me. :-)

Got a few more pieces cut out and placed them on the bench so you can kinda see where this is going,

    More tomorrow.

Very Nice work so far. using an analyzed design (cfd?) for this or just "short runner"?

Yep, Holset HX30 pushing a bar and a half on the deuce.

I got some more done yesterday, not as much as I would have liked but progress none the less.

Got the plenum bottom welded on, not the greatest welds but I don't do this for a living, it's just a hobby.

Here's what the look like from the other side, I used my router to make the radius.

I also got part of the plenum set in place, need to cut the flat parts and get them in and then make a cone for the throttle body section and bolt it on my other project ( 1600 ) to get the TB pointing correctly.

House work today so no more till Saturday.

Made a little more progress today, had my buddy Cameron come over and help me with my welding a bit ( he's quite a bit better than I am and the tips came in handy )

Sitting in the 1600 bay for a fitment check ( the next project if I ever have money for it )

The rough end trimmed off and sitting on the junk head again,

I need to get the new double intercooler setup made for my 75 ( the daily ) so I can get the thottle body piece set exactly where I need it, I should be able to get to that next week. This is taking a bit more time than I expected but it's all good.

Those welds look pretty good! Welding thin-wall aluminum isn't easy.
