fuel in intake boot?

    fuel in intake boot?

    i recently found fuel in my intake boot. Has this happened to anytone else and what was the problem?

      I had fuel in my intake boot once. It was cold start injector related, cause by faulty coolant temperature sensor wiring

        The cold start valve is supposed to run for 8 seconds and only when the engine is cold. It's managed by...<drumroll>...the thermotime switch (not cheap IIRC). Circumstances matter. If your car cold starts, runs & warms up right, it could be that the valve weeps (not enough to effect driving) but when you turn off the car the remaining fuel pressure pushes gas into the intake boot.

          Pull your cold start valve and crank your car over, check to see how it's functioning

            Thanks for your guys input. i replaced my thermo time switch with another one and it fixed the problem. It runs a bit better too!

              my coolant temp sensor isn't hooked up could this cause my car not to run right because of this
