Look for a Haynes manual. You need specific tools to put the pistons back in. Also if you want to changes valves you need a specific tool. I don't know the names sorry
You need a piston ring compression tool, the big 'C-Clamp' style valve spring compressor to begin with. Don't start this until you have those tools. There is a pdf file somewhere on how to overhaul your engine. I have it on my toolbar on my computer at home. I'll post it up when I get on it.

And if you are too lazy to look, 45 ft/lb for the main bearing caps, 40 ft/lb for the rods. Those are the important ones, Will post head torque tomorrow (in ft/lb not rotation degrees)

Measure the pistons carefully- the ring gaps wear pretty quickly.
And the skirts (lower sides) of the pistons do too, and get scraped up.
The bores seldom do.
DO change the rings.
And bearings are cheap, relative to your time.
Oil pumps are NOT, but check yours carefully if you reuse it.

Haha, sorry, I just torqued my head down today (was waiting on new bolt washers). I forgot to log on at work, but I'm pretty sure it was 30 ft/lb, then 50 ft/lb, then 60 ft/lb, then 60 again (it was 59 instead of 60, but I went ahead with the extra). Let it sit a few minutes between each torque cycle to give the bolts a little time to stretch. I'm waiting until tomorrow morning to give it the final 60 ft/lb torque.
MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN ALL THE OIL/SLUDGE OUT OF YOUR HEAD BOLT HOLES OR YOU CAN CRACK YOUR BLOCK WHILE TORQUING!
