Where to get m10 head bolts??

I tried to order a set from Blunt but they only have 6 in stock. Anybody got a suggestion on another place to order from?

Thanks dick. You obviously didn't bother to check and see if any of the links actually offered what I need. I don't need m10 bolts, I don't need tightening specs, and I don't need a link directing me back to this thread. I can order them from ebay but their prices are very high.
Could someone else recommend a source for these?

Someone told me that headbolts for the M10 aren't stretch bolts and you can reuse them. (i'm not sure I would trust them)

It's too bad I just threw away 8 of them, you could have driven down here.

Damn, that would have been nice. I have the ones that came off the head. The motor only has 50k original miles also. I am on the fence about reusing them as I have been told both ways. Anyone have a definitive answer on this?

Interesting read, this states that m10 bolts are not torque to yield bolts (stretch bolt right), and should be cleaned and checked or replaced just in case. With only 50k miles, maybe a check and clean would be acceptable? In case you are wondering what went wrong, I bought the car as is, the timing chain guide went. Replacing that now and had the head redone, 1 bent valve. It's and 83 e21 btw.

I just ordered a set of OE head bolts for an M20 and they cost $18 for the set. Autohausaz shows M10 head bolts for $2.51@. PN 11120621144

Buddy of mine had ordered from blunt, but he ended up snapping two.
Make sure the threads in the head are clean, and that the threads on the bolt are good as well.

The M20 headbolts are M10x1.5 as are the lollipop bolts and a tap of that size should be in every e30 owners toolbox. SOP is to chase those threads.

This is true of the M19 headed hex bolts that hold the M10 head on.

I reuse them all the time, as long as nothing bad's happened to them, (sometimes rust)

                        They're not torque- to- yield.

In fact, if you're not buying BMW's bolts from Germany, I'd reuse the known- good
bolts over something I thought might not be German quality.

Oh, and unless you know you're using a tap of the right fit class, I wouldn't run a tap into the block for any
bolt that mattered. Because the tap you buy at the Ace down the street is usually a fit class looser
than BMW tapped the block, so you'll remove metal. Does it matter? I dunno, but it never seemed ideal...

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

I'm not sure what you mean by "fit class" & I dont think too many of us buy precision tools at Ace, but I stand by the recommendation that threads be chased. Of course, a properly sized industrial grade tap is essential and if you are removing metal either: a) you are not clearing your tap every few turns (bad); b) you are clearing previously damage threads (good); c) you are being careless(bad).

On the other side, if you do not clean the threads you run the risk of having unequal torque due to varying state of your threads which puts your shiny new head gasket at risk.
