    Installed Injectors, Car Idles Rough

As the title says, I just got finished installing brand new injectors on the E30 (M20B25) and it fired right up but idles bad. I checked for leaks visually and sprayed injectors with brake clean top and bottom, no change. Double checked plugs for injectors and coolant sensors, all good. Pulled each plug wire, no change. What gives...

They're the Bosch ones from FCP, I asked which ones to get in another thread and everyone agreed those are the ones.

I put a stethoscope to each one and they're each clicking.

Seems to run pretty good with revs.

Not the injectors. I bought the same ones from FCP and my stock M20b25 runs great.

Yeah, I'm not gonna blame brand new injectors, heard good things about them. I'm sure I just didn't install them properly. Right now I'm thinking they're somehow not seated properly or an oring got damaged. Either way it's gotta be a vac leak at one of the injectors.

Anyone have P/N for injector orings? Same size top and bottom, I assume?

make sure you lube them and the location where it seats is clean

Thanks, what's best to use? I lubed em with fresh engine oil in the beginning but maybe something thicker would be better.

dot of dishsoap on your finger and wipe around o-ring. Done.

The sealing is done by the oring, the lube is just so the oring doesnt twist when its being seated.

Any change when you unplug them individually to narrow it down?

Yes, slight but noticeable change when unplugging one by one, all about the same.

Update on this today. I ended up popping the old ones back in and on cold start it ran like it used to until it started to warm up and then it started acting up again albeit not as rough as with the new injectors. I also have a check engine light now but I can’t get my stomp test to work. Tested my TPS, I think? Beep on left and center pin until TPS clicks just after opening, then no beep. No beep on center and right pin until you get like in between 3/4 and full open throttle then beep.

I’m ruling out vacuum leak at the injectors. I’ve done the job 3 times and I’m sure they’re seated into the manifold. Maybe a vacuum leak somewhere else? FPR line is new and attached. PCV hose is new and tight on both ends. I haven’t put the new valve cover gasket on yet but torqued the nuts with old gasket, should be fine for a test, that gasket is pretty fresh anyway. Idk.

My worst fear is something fell into the injector holes. It was definitely dirty in that area but if there was engine damage I assume it wouldn’t idle fine cold and rev decent. Not really sure what to do now.
