    Weak voltage to coil HELP

    Weak voltage to coil help

I’ve been having a no start issue for a while now

    Background
    - getting fuel (pulled line and cranked)
-weak/no spark (literally replaced whole ignition system including cps)
    - getting correct voltage to main relay
    - getting correct voltage to relevant dme pins
(Pin 37 I have to jump main relay to get volts)
    - bypassed immobilizer
    -Cleaned grounds
    -charge battery

    Problem
-I get weak/no spark directly from the coil I have connected a test light and I get a pulsing light but I don’t think I have enough voltage to trigger a spark from a plug

    - have noticed that I get 11.5v to my positive coil terminal and 6v to my negative coil terminal but have continuity from negative terminal to pin one Ecu and I have continuity from positive terminal to c101 connecter

-I took off the dme connecter for testing and didn’t put it back and tested the coil (dme unplugged) and I was getting 12.6/battery voltage to my coil

Could this be a sign of a bad dme or does anyone know what the problem might be I feel like I’m so close to figuring this out could anyone help here

    Thanks

6v to my negative coil terminal
well, that ain't right. the black wire should be at 12v, and the DME pulls it low
only when it's 'charging' the coil to fire.

If you're getting the same voltage on pin 1 on the DME, AND the DME grounds are good,
then yep, something inside the tin can's not doing its thing.

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves
